Sugar Loaf is a mountain with a unique shape, located at the mouth of Guanabara Bay in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The mountain stands on a large granite rock formation rising straight from the sea and it is as much a landmark of Rio de Janeiro as the statue of Christ the Redeemer or the beaches. The most popular way to reach its peak is the trip by cable car from Urca to the top, but it can also be reached by helicopter, going over Corcovado and landing on a platform at the top.
On your way, you’ll be spotting breathtaking views and many tourists doing the same with their cameras. This is an amazing place to take a hike and to see a great view of Rio De Janeiro in Brazil.
