Tathra is a seaside town on the Sapphire Coast found on the South Coast, New South Wales in Australia. Tathra is said to mean “beautiful country” or “place of wild cats” in a local aboriginal dialect.
This is another of the Sapphire Coast’s great surfing beaches and is patrolled in summer. Tathra beach is a beautiful play area for people of all ages and the scenery and picnic areas will relax and inspire you at the same time. You’ll find good fishing and swimming spots, boat ramps, bush walks and barbeque facilities at the inlet.
